This painting was done from a photo taken in China. There are places in China where the buildings are built on the banks of waterways and they are very interesting both for the way they blend into the surrounding area and also the almost eery quietude they convey.

Hi, Carole~Thought I'd pop in and say hello! This is a nicely done watercolor with a sense of reflection not only in the lower right but as in reflection of thought. Oriental feeling is mostly achieved in the depiction of trees & nature in the upper right. Nice luminous feeling to this. V/F.
